Participants will learn about the significance of Cedar from an Indigenous perspective, including its use as a traditional medicine and its beneficial properties. Attendees will also make a cedar salve to take home! All supplies will be provided. The program will be capped at the first 15 participants. Tanya Gluvakov is a mixed Mohawk woman from Toronto with family and "roots" from Six Nations of the Grand River in Oshweken, Ontario. The founder of Roots and Raven, Tanya is a herbalist, a mom, a teacher, and auntie, who teaches several workshops about medicines from the land and how connecting with them helps us find our way.
